Delta Environmental Septic Systems

Since the 1960s, Delta Environmental Septic Systems has been trusted by families to properly clean wastewater. The advanced wastewater treatment system is based on a minimalist design, which requires very little maintenance. Although the design is simple, the process is complex. Delta Environmental has a strong focus on helping the environment. All of Delta’s products are eco-friendly, so you can utilize their advanced technology while protecting the environment.

ECOPOD Series for Advanced Wastewater Treatment

The Delta ECOPOD Series for Advanced Wastewater Treatment offers products that have a simple design but make a big impact on your local ecosystem. Not only is the ECOPOD Series ANSI/NSF International Standard 40 and 245 Class 1 Certified, but it is also extremely effective in reducing levels of nitrogen, BOD and TSS.

The ECOPOD is beloved by homeowners and professionals alike because it is easy to install and is extremely low maintenance. When properly cared for, the series can treat 500 to 1500 gallons per day. It is quiet and effective. The self-contained design is odor-less, and has minimal sludge production. This reduced pump out frequency and cost.

There are two models of the ECOPOD currently on the market: ECOPOD-N, which is used for residential systems with daily flows between 500 and 1,500 gallons per day; and ECOPOD-D, which is used for commercial or decentralized systems with daily flows between 1,500 and 100,000 gallons per day.

ECOPOD-N

The ECOPOD-N uses an innovative approach to treat wastewater, which reduces the amount of nitrogen. In this unique system, oxygen is pumped into the system to allow the bacteria to grow in greater numbers than they would naturally occur. The overpopulation speeds up the breakdown process of sewage. Furthermore, Nitrification and denitrification both occur in a single tank. This entire process ensures an average effluent quality of 9 mg/L of BOD5 and 8 mg/L OF TSS.

Delta Whitewater Series

Similar to the ECOPOD-N, the Whitewater Aerobic Treatment System is extremely environmentally friendly. It meets ANSI/NSF International Standard 40 Class 1 Certification by utilizing helpful bacteria. The Whitewater pumps high levels of oxygen into the system so bacteria can overpopulate. This large, but healthy, population breaks down sewage so your wastewater will be safe for your local environment.

This process of bacterial overpopulation and sewage breakdown happens entirely within the self-contained Whitewater Aerobic Treatment Unit. The unit includes an outer mixing tank. Raw, unsettled wastewater enters the mixing tank and is mixed through an open-air distribution system. After the water is mixed, it enters a cone-shaped setting chamber. This chamber quietly allows solids to settle down and re-enter the mixing chamber for an advanced processing. It does all this efficient work without any inner tank filters, screens, or diffusers that need expensive service.

This unique two-chamber system discharges a clear, odor-less treated effluent, which meets or exceeds permit requirements. By using the Whitewater Aerobic Treatment Unit, you will see a 99% reduction of viruses with disinfection. This extremely eco-friendly system is FHA and VA acceptable and is accepted by sanitarians. It has a low cost, both up front and over time. It is energy efficient and uses the same amount of power as a light bulb. Although the system requires very little maintenance, there is a 2-year limited warranty, just in case anything happens.

The Delta Whitewater series is available in a variety of sizes, depending on your gallon per day needs. The models start with 400 gallons per day, then rise to 1500. As your GPD increases, so does the overall height and width of the actual system. However, the electrical voltage stays at a constant 115V, regardless of size.

Why Delta Environmental?

Delta Environmental is mostly known for their professional line of septic system; however, that should not cause their smaller systems to be out of the running for your septic needs. Delta has over 25 years of experience. If you care deeply about the environment, both the ECOPOD and Whitewater systems can help you limit your damage to the world around you. These machines are ANSI/NSF International Standard 40 and 245 Class 1 Certified because they produce as clean of effluents as possible. The ECOPOD produces average effluent quality of 9 mg/L of BOD5 and 8 mg/L OF TSS, while the Whitewater produces an average effluent quality of 6 mg/L BOD5 and 7 mg/L TSS.

Not only are the systems environmentally friendly, but they are simple in design. The simplicity cuts down on maintenance costs, which will save your family money in the long run; partner that with low energy consumption, and you will see a large drop in your overall septic system costs.
